Our Living soil Concentrates
Nature's Living recipes are based on age old organic farming soil amendment recipes. Our Nature’s Living Soil Original Concentrate and Autoflower Concentrate are perfect for use in all Living Soil methods from Super Soil to “no till”. Our concentrates are popular with growers using the Super Soil technique developed by the cannabis grower known as SubCool over 10 years ago which involves creating lasyers within a growing containers with different concentrations of nutrients. Living soils such as those used in SubCool's Super Soil method offer the ability to grow a plant from seed to harvest with just watering. The base ingredients for our living soils are Organic Earthworm Castings, High Quality Bat Guano, Blood Meal, Bone Meal, Fish Bone Meal, Neem Meal, Humic Acid, Rock Phosphate, Dolomite Lime, Azomite, Alfalfa Meal, Kelp Meal, Coco Coir, Crushed Oyster Shell, Humic Acid, Epsom Salt, Coconut Water Powder and Aloe Vera. You can find all of these ingredients in our concentrates, in some cases in several forms such as the humic acid which we have in granular and soluble forms. We also add our own, locally sourced organic earthworm castings made by US Veterans.
Living soil would not be alive without the microorganisms! In addition to the microorganisms that are found naturally in our guano, earthworm castings and compost we introduce the following bacteria and fungi Glomus Aggregatum, Glomus Etunicatum, Glomus Intraradices,Glomus Mosseae, Pisolithus Tinctorius, Scleroderma Cepa, Scleroderma Citrinum,Trichoderma Harzianum, Trichoderma Koningii, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae,Azotobacter Chroococcum, Bacillus Amyloliquefaciens, Bacillus Azotoformans,Bacillus Coagulans, Bacillus Licheniformis, Bacillus Megaterium, Bacillus Pumilus, Bacillus Subtilis, Bacillus Thuringiensis, Paenibacillus Durum,Paenibacillus Polymyxa, Pseudomonas Aureofaciens, Pseudomonas Fluorescens. Nature’s Living Soil sources our microorganisms from reliable sources and we also grow (culture) our on strains making for a unique combination you will not find anywhere else.
How living soil and super soil works
The living soils will have high concentrations of nutrients that can overwhelm seedlings and immature plants so most living soil and super soil methods have a buffer between the young plants and the living soil mix. This buffer can be regular organic potting soil. In the super soil technique the super soil in placed in the bottom 1/3 of a containers then the rest of the container is filled with organic potting soil (such as Roots Organic or Dr. Earth Organic Homegrown potting soil from Home Depot). You can plant or transplant directly and then just water. The organic potting soil will contain enough nutrients for the plant to get started and for the root system to develop and find the super soil layer. If you are germinating directly in the container, or have seedlings, create a hole where you will be planting the size of a 12-16 oz cup and fill with organic potting soil (unmixed).
HERE IS A LIST OF A TEN THINGS THAT YOU CAN DO WITH ORGANICALLY FED SOIL THAT CANNOT BE ACHIEVED WITH CONVENTIONAL CHEMICAL FEEDING.
1. DECOMPOSE PLANT RESIDUES AND ORGANIC MATTER TO HUMUS.
2. RETAIN NUTRIENTS IN THE FORM OF STABLE HUMUS.
3. COMBINE NITROGEN AND CARBON TO PREVENT NUTRIENT LOSS.
4. SUPPRESS FUNGUS AND BACTERIAL DISEASES.
5. PRODUCE PLANT GROWTH REGULATORS.
6. DEVELOP SOIL STRUCTURE, TILTH, AND WATER PENETRATION/RETENTION.
7. SHIFT SOIL PH TO NEUTRAL AND KEEP IT THERE.
8. SEARCH OUT AND RETRIEVE NUTRIENTS IN DISTANT PARTS OF THE SOIL.
9. CONTROL NITROGEN SUPPLY TO THE PLANTS ACCORDING TO NEED.
10. PULL MINERALS OUT OF INORGANIC SOIL COMPONENTS FOR PLANTS.
